At this position I am responsible for setting up and operating Walter vision and Walter power five axis CNC grinders. It is my job to make sure the machine being set up has the right tooling along with the correct program. Once a machine is set up the tools being made in production must also be routinely inspected for any quality flaws. If a flaw is discovered it is my responsibility to make necessary adjustments to the machine to bring tools back to customer specifications.
Set up molding presses to run various types of powder metal parts. Tooling must be properly installed in the press and press settings must be changed so that the part being produced is within customer tolerances. Also I was responsible for making adjustments to other presses in production to ensure they are within tolerance as well.
Responsible for clearing off turn tables of molding presses that are running product as well as perform routine inspections of parts being produced to ensure customer tolerances are withheld.
