Abigail Hanes

I worked as a THON volunteer for Penn State University. THON is a student run philanthropy fighting against childhood cancer. My job as a volunteer was to go to weekly meeting in order to get educated on how to act as security staff for the event in the end of February. I had to work 4 shifts throughout the 46 hour no sitting and no sleeping marathon with my shifts being between 6-9 hours long. These shifts ranged from starting at 3:00am to starting at 8:00pm.
