  • Oversaw daily distribution operations, ensuring timely delivery of products to retailers and direct to customers. Mainly online retail direct to consumers.
  • Implemented inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and reduce waste. Over the 20 years have I have been involved in at least 3 inventory control platforms, Compass, RMS, and the latest being NetSuite.
  • Coordinated logistics strategies, improving transportation efficiency across multiple regions. Our distribution center was based in NJ but the main center is in AZ and the manufacturing centers are in CA and TX.
  • Developed training programs for staff, enhancing team performance and operational knowledge. We had monthly training/refreshers covering lifting to pallet jack training to everyday safety practices.
  • Led cross-functional teams to enhance collaboration between warehousing, customer service, and sales departments. Had weekly team meeting with all departments to keep all company goals on track.
  • Streamlined order fulfillment procedures, resulting in increased accuracy and customer satisfaction rates. Using NetSuite and RF to streamline the picking, packing, and shipping. Within NetSuite we had a version created for our specific company needs.
  • Coordinated closely with customer service representatives to address any shipping or delivery issues promptly, improving overall customer satisfaction rates. Brought any shipping issues directly to my outbound supervisor and usually had a resolution within 48 hours.
  • Managed warehouse operations, ensuring proper storage and handling of products to maintain quality. Worked closely with my Inventory/Inbound supervisor to insure all inbound barring errors will be received and put away within 24 hours. All items had to have barcodes if needed and rotated if required. First in first out.
  • Established key performance indicators to monitor distribution effectiveness and drive continuous improvement initiatives. We used metrics from our system to monitor daily progress of the crew.
  • Maintained accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation for regulatory compliance purposes.

  • Implemented safety protocols within the warehouse, reducing workplace incidents and maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations. Marked out all fire extinguishers, electrical panels, forklift driving paths, and charging areas.
  • Increased client retention by providing superior customer service. By Tuesday we had all weekend and Monday orders caught up and back to shipping within 24 hours from when the order was placed.
  • Reduced order fulfillment time through the development of streamlined picking and packing procedures. Using the RF scanners to pick insured accuracy as well as a faster picking experience.
  • Conducted regular performance reviews for distribution staff, providing constructive feedback and setting goals for improvement. I was responsible for yearly reviews of the entire distribution crew. We developed quarterly employee sit down updates with each crew members. This usually consisted of the crew member, both supervisors, and myself.
  • Assisted in budget preparation, ensuring effective allocation of resources for optimal distribution performance. Kept tracking of spending on my company credit card, as well as tracking all expenses weather operational, employee appreciation, external vendors, or daily operating expenses.
  • Improved delivery times with strategic route planning and reallocation of resources. While our company was attending dog shows, I was heavily involved in the transportation of products to the shows. Routes and parking were always very important before we left. This included to the show site, to the hotel, and dinner for the crew.

  • Supervised team of 9-15 staff members.
  • Achieved a large boost in team morale through effectively helping with shortening the work day. We worked an 8-5 shift with an hour unpaid lunch. After meeting and listening to the team I came up with 7:30-4:00 1/2 hour lunch. Effectively had the crew out by 4 pm did not effect the business as UPS pick up was at 3:30.
