  • Responsible for the calibration and maintenance of protective relays (Microprocessor, Electromechanical, and Solid-State)
  • Responsible for the functional testing of control circuits, current and potential transformers, and all associated devices.
  • Conducted field commissioning of new relay installations and upgrades, including the commissioning of IEC 61850 standards in existing relay protection schemes.
  • Conducted field commissioning of new substation equipment upgrades, including switchgear replacement, power transformer replacement, and circuit breaker replacement at various sites across the utility, as well as new "greenfield" substation installation.
  • Utilized electrical schematics, S&C, and single line drawings for testing and troubleshooting of system protection schemes and components.
  • All above listed work required the development of secondary blocking plans, project outage planning, IFA/IFC design package review, resolution of design issues (TAWI), and support of energization procedures, where applicable.
  • Responsible for the generation and documentation of all test results in accordance with NERC/FERC/PECO standards.
