  • Enrolled patients in the oncology wards, the emergency department, or mechanically ventilated in the ICU, and collected breath samples.
  • Implemented screening and approaching methods that increased patient enrollment by 35% within my first five months on the team.
  • Coordinated functions of two research assistants at our second center (MGH).-Performed GC-MS analysis of samples for compound identification with MassHunter software.
  • Worked with mice for the characterization of volatile organic compounds in exhaled air.
  • Planned weekly experiments, distributed tasks, and trained incoming personnel.

  • Offered outpatient and inpatient services in adult and children’s medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and minor surgery. Population of over 6000 inhabitants.
  • Led a team of twelve nurses, one cook, and three maintenance workers.
  • Coordinated pharmacy inventory and wrote weekly and monthly epidemiologic reports.
  • Organized health promotion and prevention interventions, including immunizations in school and house-by-house; series of talks and community discussions during Health Week using didactic material and self-written songs; campaign on fighting the HIV-associated stigma.
  • Coordinated activities and research projects of medical school interns from my university.
  • Created a 2-month internship program for local high school seniors interested in health-related careers in which we covered basic medical concepts. Three of the students went on to enroll in nursing school after graduation.
  • Worked with young mothers to encourage prenatal control and hospital birth. Saw a 60% increase in prenatal visits.
