  • Abstract: “In vitro and in vivo characterization of a Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteriophage panel”.
  • 10 P. aeruginosa strains were susceptible to our 30-phage panel.
  • Tested the efficacy of bacteriophages in combatting antibiotic resistant, biofilm forming bacteria.

  • Investigated the effect of probiotics in attenuating bacterial biofilm growth on surgical meshes and orthopedic implants.
  • Cultured bacteria and searched for bacterial growth on mesh, implants and media using confocal microscopy and Qiagen DNeasy PCR kit.
  • Lactobacilli grew on surgical meshes and showed potential to create microbiotic environment on surgical implant devices.
