Monitors patients throughout procedures, providing reassurance and responding promptly to any needs or emergencies. Operates MRI scanners and related equipment to acquire diagnostic images according to physicians orders and established hospital protocols. Adjusts imaging paramaters as necessary to optimize image quality while minimizing scan time. Evaluates images for technical quality, proper anatomy and completeness. Performs post imaging manipulation and reformatting.
Accurately performs imaging procedures and demonstrates patient positioning in compliance with protocols to produce exceptional diagnostic images. Communicates effectively with patients to ensure comfort and cooperation during procedures, as well as collaboration with other technologists and healthcare providers. Learn and strictly adhere to all radiation safety protocols by understanding dose reduction techniques and practicing ALARA principles (As Low As Reasonably Acheivable).
