Volunteer Experience
- Feeding America, which advocates for policies that create long term solutions to hunger by partnering with food banks, food pantries, and local food programs. I did this a few times in high school with my friends. We met at a local post office where they had us bag foods in an assembly line.
- Best Buddies International was a club I joined in high school. It is the world's largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I was involved in this club all throughout my 4 years at MNHS. We would paint with them, go on field trips, and socialize every Thursday after school. We would also make gift packages for other schools and we even had a "prom" dressup" for the buddies who wanted to. They were able to pick out a dress and walk on a runway, to feel beautiful.
