My name is Blaire Gillespie and I am a Sophomore Political Science major at the University of Tampa. I am on a pre law track, with a goal of attending law school upon graduation. I am seeking internships and/or any opportunity to develop my skills as a future lawyer.
As a high schooler, I woke up for practice at 5 am, to workout before school. After morning practices and a full day of school, I would then get back into the pool again, accumulating 4-5 hours of practice per day, on top of my academic work.
My combination of academic and athletic excellence in high school taught me discipline, a strong work ethic, and time management. I have parlayed these skills into my college career once again by balancing school and swimming. I spend several hours a week training and swimming for the university's club team, on top of my classes,
I look to put the skills I mentioned to work in the legal field by 1: Being the worker who shows up early and stays late. 2: Completing all assignments to the best of my ability, always seeking answers to questions I have, and 3: Completing all work in a timely manner, meeting the needs of my colleagues and clients.
I was a member of the National Honors Society at Upper St Clair high school.
I competed in the state level swim championship 3 times in high school.
I competed in the WPIAL finals for swimming all 3 years I was eligible of my high school swimming career.
I competed in the Southern Regional Club swim championship for the University of Tampa's club swim team this year.
I qualified to swim at the 2025 National Championship this year.
I am certified in CPR and completed a babysitter certification course before high school
