  • Conducted computational research focused on simulating the interactions between apolipoproteins and lipid bilayers to investigate their roles in lipid transport and metabolic regulation. We achieved this by using Mizzou’s high powered “Hell Bender” computer laboratory—including GROMACS for simulations, CHARMM-GUI for system setup, and VMD. The project centered on identifying specific amino acid residues involved in membrane binding, evaluating the conformational dynamics of the protein upon interaction with lipid environments, and assessing the overall structural stability of the biological system.
