Starting IVs in a hospital setting. Utilizing ultrasound equipment when necessary for more challenging patients. Consulted for bloodwork when staff is unable to obtain. Responsible for responding to all codes and making sure adequate access is present. Also have close relations with the Doctors and keep them aware of any delays or access issues

Working closely with the nurses to triage patients, obtain bloodwork, start IVs, do EKGs, anything to help make the ER function smoothly. Report any unusual findings to the Doctors. Assist the Providers with bedside procedures from helping to collect sterile specimens to chaperoning pelvic exams. Transporting patients to testing and to the floors when transport was unavailable was also in the job description. Clerical duties included paging on call Doctors and keeping track of Hospitalists rotations.

• Measured and recorded patients' pre-dialysis and post-dialysis vital statistics.
• Set up and operated dialysis machines for patients receiving treatment for kidney failure.
• Cleaned and connected fistulas, grafts and catheters to prevent infection.
• Maintained a clean and safe environment through diligent adherence to infection control protocols.
