Was a recipient of a PCRAFT award (Pride, Caring, Respect, Accountability, Flexibility and Teamwork) through my hospital organization in 2016.
Took on the role of Blood Bank Technical Coordinator in 2021 and oversaw the addition of trauma level 2, labor and delivery as well as NICU services.
Currently assisting with upgrading our services to become a Level 1 trauma as well as addition of cardiac open heart services which will also include an additional 100 beds.
Was interim Blood Bank Technical Specialist in 2025 and oversaw the upgrade of our Wellsky LIS.
Involved in the integration of whole blood into our organization, and lead the Whole Blood Oversight Committee which includes EMS personnel, ED and Trauma physicians and Blood Bank. We review prehospital and laboratory utilization, identify room for improvement, and develop education for the clinical team.
Was part of collaboration with pathology, blood management, pediatrics, and neonatology to establish new MTP protocols.
Worked with IT to develop new test builds and workflows to improve care for our prenatal population and assist with physician ordering.
Involved in multidisciplinary care of a prenatal patient with an extremely rare anti-Inb which involved monthly patient follow up to ensure necessary testing was completed on schedule and procure blood for her from overseas.
