06/25/25, My name is Cheryl Harris, and I’m excited to apply for a position in your program. I’ve been working in child care for the past 6 years, and I truly love what I do. Every day I get the chance to help children learn, grow, and feel safe. Over time, that love for caregiving has grown into a bigger goal—to become a nurse. I’m now taking steps to move into the medical field so I can continue helping people in a new way. In child care, I’ve learned patience, communication, and how to stay calm in stressful situations. I’ve also worked with different age groups, from toddlers to preteens, and I understand how important it is to meet every child where they are. I’ve used professional tools like Day Care Works to stay organized, and I always make sure to count the children every 15 minutes to keep them safe and accounted for. I’m currently looking into CNA and nursing programs because I’m ready to grow.
