Having taught myself Mandarin to an extraordinary level, I am capable of acquiring any new skill. My experiences and studies in China have shaped me into a data-driven multicultural professional adept in language analysis, translation, problem-solving, and education. I seek a role that leverages my skills to bring diverse communities together, especially with our volatile geopolitical climates.
In diverse communities across Philadelphia, I taught mathematics, science, and social studies to sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students, navigating varied educational, social, and psychological challenges. I tailored my curriculum to accommodate a wide range of academic, social, and psychological needs—meeting them where they were regardless of their starting level.
I taught students of all grade levels in diverse environments throughout Philadelphia, adapting to different curricula, learning needs, and dynamics. This experience strengthened my ability to assess and respond to complex situations, communicate effectively across different backgrounds, and operate in fast-changing environments.
Through teaching students with limited English proficiency, I learned to break down complex concepts into simple language—an essential skill when working with diverse individuals. This experience strengthened my ability to communicate effectively no matter the difficulty of the subject matter.
Wearing many different hats, I served as the glue to this fast-paced startup. I was primarily responsible for translation, proofreading, and article releases. Moreover, I was the public face of the school, presenting to audiences in both Mandarin and English.
