Objective/Goals:
I am currently working toward my Bachelor's in Environmental Science at SNHU online. Right after graduating from high school in 2014, I jumped into working immediately full time, and during high school I worked part time at McDonald's for a while still obtaining good grades. After graduating, I worked at Rite Aid working my way from a cashier, then to a Shift Supervisor, and then to an Assistant Manager. After working at Rite Aid for 4 years I wanted a change in jobs more geared to my interests so I worked at Michaels arts and crafts in Feasterville I got hired as a temporary worker when they were switching over the contents of the old store location to the brand new store. I was noticed by the management almost immediately and I felt they trusted me with really hard projects, and when the grand opening finally came the store manager asked me to be Operations manager which is second in command.
I was there at Michaels for about a year until my husband and i decided to move to Harrisburg PA. When we moved there was not any management positions open at the Michaels in the area so I browsed jobs the really would make me happy. I worked at an amazing antique store for a little over 6 months before Covid-19, eventually they had to close for a long time because of the pandemic. The pandemic was a blessing in disguise for me though because I was able to pursue my interests online with a course on antiques and auctioneering. I got a certificate from that course that was roughly a year long. I enjoyed the online learning so much that I decided to look into online college and I have been having a great experience at SNHU over the last couple years working toward my Bachelor's in Environmental Science. I am looking to work again while i balance my schoolwork at home. I am looking for opportunities that spark my interest and will benefit me in the long run.
