Proudly served in the United States Air National Guard as a member of the 192nd Medical Group DET-1 based at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia.
I am an experienced CRNP with a commitment to patients by providing compassionate care at a higher level. As a Nurse Practitioner working with my experience has allowed me to perform independently while maintaining collaborations with physicians from multiple disciplines ranging from Intensive Care, Pulmonology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Emergency Dept, Nephrology, Neurology, Infectious Disease, and Mental Health.
I graduated from Carlow University in 2013 with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree. My work as a Nurse Practitioner with the Intensivist group in the ICU at Westmoreland Hospital as well as my work with the Palliative Medicine Team gives me a wide spectrum of practice as well as unique patient and family interactions. My duties include critical assessments, coordination of critical care, and invasive procedures which involve intubation, insertion of ultrasound guided central lines, arterial lines, bronchoscopy, thoracentesis and paracentesis. My Palliative Care Team duties include end of life discussion, goals of care, pain management and ethics consults. My previous casual position at Matrix Medical Network allowed me to perform comprehensive in-home annual Medicare physicals and educate on preventative care. My dedication to providing patient care at the highest level of my ability is my driving force. My theory of practitioner is supported by my goal of maximum customer service and satisfaction.
I proudly served as Captain in the Virginia Air National Guard in the 192nd Medical Wing. My military training involves preparation and readiness for mass casualties from chemical, biologic, radiation, nuclear and environmental disasters. I consider serving my country a duty and a privilege. I had the honor of continuing a long family tradition of service to this great nation, in the Armed Forces.
I am aware of the significance of health promotion and disease prevention and would like the prospect to promote education to my clients for their benefit. As healthcare reform continues in the future, it is crucial to encourage and educate our patients rather than simply treat their disease. I believe my formal education and practitioner experience coupled with my vast background in nursing gives me a great knowledge base in which to identify the needs of my patients. I have been prepared with tools to uniquely set me aside from other candidates as well as inherited a strong work ethic. I trust that I am qualified and welcome the opportunity to serve your patients.
