Case Manager

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
09.2017 - 12.2020

The responsibilities of the Case Manager included attending all court hearings for the dependent children of Lycoming Co. I was to prioritize the situations of the children and their families and assign a volunteer to those children. I also supervised the volunteers as well as provided the training to assure each child was receiving the appropriate care and attention they deserve. This often meant conducting home visits with the biological parents as well as foster parents. I met with the judges and attorneys as well as the caseworkers from Lycoming Co. I often met with the Williamsport Police to confirm reports. All CASA reports were reviewed by myself prior to being distributed to the judges, attorneys and Caseworkers. All documentation was completed in a timely fashion. All privacy was observed.

Job Coach

Hope Enterprise
05.2015 - 10.2017

I was responsible for 8 to 9 individuals. I was responsible for locating employment and teaching the individuals skills necessary to ride public transportation safely. I also assisted the individual skills to learn their job effectively and maintain their employment. I also taught the individuals banking and to pay their bills to become independent.

Caseworker

Lycoming Co. Joinder Board
03.1985 - 03.2017

I successfully worked within several units during my career with the Joinder Board. These positions included: The Crisis Unit, The Abuse Unit, The Assessment Unit, and the Reunification Unit. These positions were all challenging as they all played a valuable role in the happiness and mental health as well as safety of the children as they progressed to becoming adults. I especially enjoyed the Reunification Unit as this involved assisting the parents in improving their parenting skills, finding employment improving their literacy skills and learning to enjoy parenting.
