As Assistant Trades Supervisor my responsibilities primarily entail organizing and assigning job details, ensuring things continue to run smooth in the absence of the trades director as well as training and management of daily tasks. I work closely with the trades director and handle more of the physical jobs that need to be done both around the building and off campus.
As a trades instructor at The Summit Academy my main responsibilities consist of pulling students for a class that builds skills in the woodworking, carpentry trade . The main goal is to expose students to various skills and techniques within the trade and teach them the necessary skills to certify them. Secondary duties consist of building maintenance, grounds keeping, counseling, transportation, community service, and trauma informed behavior management.
