In the summer of 2024, I proposed to the Riddlewood Swim Club board of directors a plan for me to construct, coordinate, and fundraise for a park on their property in honor of my late brother, Benjamin John Strain. With approval from the board, I began work in June and coordinated with volunteers on the construction of the park. This included leveling the ground of the park, proper drainage installation, construction of a sand volleyball court, building benches, laying brick for a statue placed at the center of the park, gardening/landscaping around the park, and many other tasks. Then, in order to pay for this construction, I organized and fundraised with my co-organizer. We organized movie nights, bake sales, and a fall festival in which the whole community came together for many fun activities. Construction and fundraising were completed in the summer of 2025.
Ensured swim club safety, upheld regulations, supported colleagues, and fostered relationships with members and their families.
In the summer of 2023, my best friend and I started our own car detailing business. Responsibilities for this job included client outreach, fiscal responsibility/management, hard work, and proper time management skills.
