In March 2025, I received an Honorable Mention for the Albert J. Caplan Poetry Prize. This recognition not only affirms my creative writing abilities but also holds particular significance because it is awarded by the Academy of American Poets. The Academy is renowned for its University & College Poetry Prizes program, which has served as an early platform for many distinguished poets, including current and former Chancellors such as Toi Derricotte, Natalie Diaz, Li-Young Lee, and Sylvia Plath.
