Dynamic and dedicated professional with a strong work ethic and communication skills. Proven ability in manual labor and teamwork, demonstrated through experience as a dishwasher at The Naked Olive. Able to work alone, as shown in the role of a dishwasher at Mount Joy as well. Committed to cleanliness and excellence, consistently exceeding expectations in fast-paced environments.
Worked up front, ringing up customers with their groceries, along with other small tasks (trash, cleaning, reshopping, etc.).
- It was my first job that required me to work with people constantly and interact with all walks of life, from those who got agitated easily to those with whom I couldn't effectively communicate. This job was also technically the first where I had to look a certain way and wear certain clothes, as I was no longer “behind the scenes.”
- Responsible for checking out items, cleaning registers, making sure tills were full, and effectively communicating with the checkout coach, who was somewhat like the cashier’s boss. It sounds like a lot, but it just becomes muscle memory. As a coworker of mine once said, “A monkey could do it.”
- Hours were pretty much all over the place, although I usually never worked earlier than 4 PM, which meant I typically closed when I was there, leaving me as the only cashier for the last hour or two.
- Customers also relied on us to answer any questions about the store, to the best of our ability.
Responsible for regularly cleaning dishes and other kitchen equipment, as well as other regular restaurant jobs (mopping, transporting food, freezer check, etc.).
- Worked for 3-4 evening shifts during the summer, each around 7 to 8 hours in length. During the school year, I only work one evening shift on Fridays, upwards of 8 hours straight of manual labor.
- Responsible for cleaning all pots and pans, mopping all the floors, and changing the rooms. This job was different from the previous dishwashing job in that it was more reliant on teamwork. At Mount Joy, it was slower in the evenings, so I was the only one they needed until closing. However, with this job, it was much busier in the evenings, requiring multiple people and, therefore, much more coordination with not only fellow dishwashers but also the line cooks.
- A large majority of my fellow dishwashers could only speak Spanish, so I have experience communicating with Spanish-speakers.

I worked for the entire summer of 2021 on the weekends.
- Responsible for cleaning all pots and pans, mopping all the floors, and changing the rooms. He was brought in early and kept late several times due to the need for extended service.
