It is my honor to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of James Chapman.
I’ve trusted James with editing our yearbook, school wide student news, promotional school videos or extra video publicity assignments the district has needed all while balancing the many extracurricular activities he is involved in.
During his time here James was always active and excelled in many programs such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign. He was the main editor of our yearbook as he went wherever he asked or needed. James also participated in a weekly radio segment that was aired on our local radio stations highlighting all the goings on happening in our district He is a hard worker and always seeks to do his best and goes above and beyond to do what is needed of him.
James’s dedication, work ethic and willingness to do whatever is asked of him is what sets him apart from others. As a student he always did what was asked without question and did so to the best of his ability. I know, if accepted, James will work his hardest to be a valuable student for whatever school or program accepts him.

It is my pleasure to be writing a letter of recommendation on behalf of James Chapman for the
photography position at your place of employment. As Director of Athletics at Western Wayne High
School for the last 4 years, I can truly say that James was a major asset to our program in more ways
than one.
On top of being a three-sport athlete with multiple accolades and an honors student in the
classroom, he was one of the best student photographers I have seen. Being at every event that he
could, both home and away, that did not conflict with one of his own, James took action shots of his
fellow classmates. It is important to understand, he did not do this because he was required to, or he
was being paid. He did it because he has a passion for photography, a sense of loyalty to those around
him and was proud of the work he did.
The work Jamie did was not for his own personal gain. The photos that he took were used for;
Senior Banners, the Yearbook, Social Media Graphics, end of year Award Booklets and more. The quality
of his work and attention to detail is very high level and it is shown in all of his photos. He is a character
guy and will do whatever is asked. Multiple times throughout the year, he stepped up and announced
sporting events.. and when he was done, he went right back into taking action shots.
All in all, it is my humble opinion that James would no doubt be a major asset to your company,
as he was to our athletic department. For these reasons, I highly recommend James Chapman to be
considered for the position in your place of employment. Any follow up questions, please feel free to
reach out at any time.
