My EMS career as a volunteer for the Bellwood ambulance Association in February 1990. I was able to obtain my EMT certification and volunteered many years. I then spent a year working as an EMT in Nebraska. In April of 1996 I moved back to Bellwood and became a paid EMT for the Association. I became employed at AMED in December of 1997 as an EMT/van driver. Shortly after I moved up to a line EMT and worked until October 2007. I Became a Paramedic that year and still currently work. Over the years I have gotten experience with the strike team with deployments to many Hurricane and Super storms. I also have experience as an FTO, and have temporarily filled in as a Supervisor. I'm also a certified EMS instructor and assisted with several classes at the AMED Academy.
I plan to work hard and retire as a Paramedic from AMED. I feel I am ready to advance my career and work my way into a management position. I want to continue teaching and helping younger individual to accomplish there dreams of becoming an EMS provider.
