James Jennings

Knowledgeable Tech Ed Teacher with solid background in fostering educational growth and student engagement. Consistently implemented innovative teaching strategies that enhanced student learning and classroom involvement. Demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills in managing classroom activities and collaborating with peers.

I am involved in TEECA@MU, which is the Technology and Engineering Club. I regularly attend meetings, attend conferences and represent Millersville in competitions. I have used it as an opportunity to learn to cooperate with a group to complete projects in limited times with finite resources. It has allowed me to meet seasoned teachers and learn how improve my ability to teach.

I am a coach on the Millersville Fencing Team. I have fenced since High School, and in college it has allowed me to practice teaching others a field of knowledge that they have zero experience or knowledge in. I learn how to take skills that I may have down to instinct, and teach it to someone who may initially show hesitation.

I am a player my schools Men's Rugby team and have gained experience in being put into a brand new environment where I must learn on the fly and make rapid decisions. I regularly attend practices and tournaments and have in turn learnt and practiced  communication skills, time management, and consistency.
