As a Industrial Mechanic at Henkel, I problem solve techinical issues on a day to day basis throughout the facility. Email a shift report on issues and repairs made throughout the shift. Participate in TBM events, along with workshops to improve the facilities OEE, and figure out ways to modify existing equipment to function better over the current OEM platform. I train new onboarding industrial mechanics, along with training and guiding techinical operators with repairs. Since I've been working at Henkel I have modified equipment mechanical, and electrically throughout the laundry division to minimize downtime and parts usage. I currently lead an ASPIRE project this year (2024) for a piece of equipment that saved around $17,000 dollars per year in downtime as well lead and oversee of rebuilding two fillers for there incase fill lines saving around $185,000 dollars in outside labor cost and parts, by fabricating parts in house, working with parts vendors and making staging carts for parts needed to complete the project to reduce schedule time needed to perform the upgrades and repairs. I do a lot of the fabrication and parts research and parts ordering, work with parts vendors, along work closely with our reliability managers, maintenance planners and HSP department. I assisted HSP department with there continuous improvement projects to help with center lining, instruct how equipment works, encourage them to assist in repairs to gain better understanding of the parts and equipment used.

I manage two different facilities for the company. I assist maintenance assistant's with daily jobs if needed, and train on specific repairs as well. I do all the ordering, planning of work needed to be done in and around the facilities, scheduling etc. I also, do maintenance repairs with the assistants on bigger projects. I schedule all inspects for the two facilities, Handle walk throughs with state and federal inspectors of life safety. Also, schedule contractors to do various repairs as needed. Assist in after hours repairs as needed. Work with HR with interviewing new candidates. Documenting and filing reports needed for future inspection, making up PM forms for equipment inspections. I also, oversee housekeeping and laundry services, making sure rooms, offices and other departments are keep clean. Maintain laundry service equipment, chemical orders for both housekeeping and laundry.

Performed different maintenance task. Performed PM's on various pieces of equipment. Trained mechanics. Perform complete tear downs and rebuilds on various pieces of equipment. Established PM schedules on new equipment. Overlooked jobs performed by other mechanics to ensure the jobs were being done properly and assisted them when needed. Install new equipment throughout facility. Work closely with management on upcoming projects. Perform all electrical installs on newly installed equipment. Perform retro fits to equipment to reduce downtime and parts and labor costs. Order parts for upcoming projects and new equipment installs. Maintain wood fired boiler, and water testing. Operate various pieces equipment on production floor when needed. Assist maintenance manager/supervisor with office duties. Setup and calibrate machines for production. Assessed operating conditions and adjusted settings to maximize performance and equipment longevity. Troubleshot equipment breakdowns and performed preventive maintenance. Trained junior maintenance professionals on correct repair and cleaning procedures. Performed electrical and mechanical repairs of production equipment to minimize downtime. Modify equipment to make operations safer in the work environment. Used problem-solving skills to alleviate issues efficiently with minimal supervision. Reviewed technical documentation to complete equipment maintenance and repair. Used various equipment to remove snow and sprinkled rock salt on walkways to prevent falls.

I am also a line mechanic and perform duties and responsibilities to make sure the production line is running efficiently and support the line as need. Perform work thru out facility as needed thru assigned work orders. Maintain equipment when in operation. Also, have computer assignments to complete such as put in notifications for parts ordering, or establish planned maintenance work orders for down periods. Responsible for product change overs as needed, and perform center line and date code change procedures when doing change overs. Obtained forklift and aerial lift platform licenses to meet optimum labor utilization. Operated and maintained robotic equipment for peak performance and longevity.

Perform various work orders and PM's. Currently the shift lead for my crew. lead mechanics and assign work at the beginning of each shift, perform turn over information to follow shifts. Give safety talks before the start of each shift. Assist in troubleshooting issues on different production lines, and work on all production lines. Volunteer to help on repairs during scheduled down days throughout plant facility. I also fabricate and weld. I do a lot of project work within the plant to keep cost down. Perform LOTO procedures with shift mechanics. Also work with reliability engineers to insure repair procedure are being done correctly and that we can obtain the longest life expectancy of the parts used by adjusting and installing parts properly. Work with facilities on occasion.
