Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund (JFMF) Teacher Program
This three-week, fully-funded program for educators provided participants with cultural and educational immersion. Teams of teachers convened in Tokyo for orientation, school observations, as well as arts and history experiences. This was followed by homestay experiences in an assigned prefecture; I was fortunate enough to be assigned to Hiroshima Prefecture (possibly because of my years of membership in a youth arts & performance organization called Peace Child). The life-changing experience culminated with a sharing reunion in Tokyo.
