Performs as the purchasing agent for the park. Interprets, and applies field purchasing policies and procedures as they apply to procurement. Determines the correct method of purchasing through use of DGS statewide contract, e-marketplace website, competitive bidding procedures, or local purchases. Makes purchases through the issuance of a purchase order or by telephone, fax, internet, or in person. Reviews and approves purchasing procedure requirements for requests received from other employees to purchase commodities/services to ensure compliance with applicable purchasing regulations.
HUMAN RESOURCES

REVENUE
Oversees the revenue collection and accounting process using the Active Works Reservation/Revenue System. Processes revenue in accordance the BSP, Cash Management Directive, and established policies and procedures. Administers/completes the reconciliation of the monthly bank statement and prepares the required reports for the Park Operation Manager’s signature.
TIMEKEEPING
Performs the timekeeping function at Hickory Run State Park Complex. Reviews the timekeeping input and ensures timely and correct entry of working times, schedules, substitutions, employee absences, leave requests, and the correct payment and coding of overtime and time differentials in accordance with the appropriate labor agreement and established personnel rules.
Supervises the Timekeeping/Payroll Department which requires the supervision of two Clerk Typist 3’s who perform complex clerical work requiring the application of independent judgment. As supervisor, works with clerical staff to insure deadlines for time and attendance input are met and internal controls exist to prevent improper payments. Serves as contact point for Payroll Operations for resolution of individual and/or specific problems discovered by pre- or post-audits. Provides supervision, guidance, and training to timekeepers on overtime, shift differential, wage, short-term, and long-term leave without pay policies. Responsible for the completion of performance evaluations, leave approval, or disapproval for the two clerical staff. Establish internal controls, prioritizes assignments, reviews daily tasks, and assigns special projects as necessary with general review by the Accountant.
Supervises the daily operation of the timekeeping function. Plans, organizes, and delegates work to insure a smooth processing flow. Responsible for the development of controls to insure work is technically accurate and contractually compliant. Processes leave without pay transactions, client worker, and wage employee hourly payments via IES system.
Works closely with the SPF Coordinator in Harrisburg to monitor all SPF absences. Assures SPF absences are coded properly in the IES system. Records and monitors all WRIL and ACT 534 transactions applicable to time and attendance. Validate injury dates, hours, medical allowable appointments and therapy visits through the HR Office.
Responsible for analyzing the shopping trends of our clients. Ordering to meet expected needs and replenishing stock, while keeping to minimum order requirements and meeting the Free Shipping mark on all orders. Follow-up on arrival dates of orders as well as back ordered items. Having Special Order items drop shipped from the manufacturer straight to the customer.
Duties included but were not limited too, checking in orders, picking and packing orders, merchandising company store, taking telephone orders and handling product issues.
