I am excited to apply for the creative arts therapy internship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a Junior in music therapy at Slippery Rock University, I am eager to apply my academic knowledge in a hands-on clinical setting. My coursework as well as my clinical experiences have equipped me with skills in session planing, documentation, problem solving, compassion, as well as many other skills.
I admire CHOP’s commitment to helping their children and would love the opportunity to contribute while learning from/with your team.
Within my professional career I have been a hospitality worker, ready to excel in fast-paced environments. I have a proven track record in ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction. As well as a strong focus on teamwork and adaptability, consistently meeting changing needs. I am skilled in managing multiple tasks, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining clean and organized workspace. Reliable and results-driven, with positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
In my time as a music therapy student at Slippery Rock University, I have been provided with many opportunities to get experience within the field. So far, I have had five clinical placements and I still have two more placements to go. I have worked with a wide variety of clients and I have done my best to succeed in all of my placements. I have worked with adolescents all the way up through older adults in 1:1 as well as group settings. I have also been fortunate enough to have experience with telehealth, my on school clinic, as well as an assisted living facility.
