Performed various tasks, from installing supercharger kits to basic maintenance, PA state inspections, suspension and alignment work, as well as engine and transmission replacements. Other tasks included welding/fitting exhaust systems, tire balancing and mounting, extensive interior work such as heater cores, control module replacements, infotainment and radio unit replacements, and diagnostics of engine systems and electrical systems. At this job, everything could be done besides paint and bodywork. Worked with a small team to tackle and plan busy work weeks. Strong communication of recommended work and services to be performed.

  • Small local business specializing in automotive performance. Helped set up shop layout, maintaining high cleanliness and organization. Performed custom turbo kit installations with in-house-made exhaust and intake systems. Routine maintenance and light tuning via laptop were involved. Performed installation of flex fuel sensors and tune-up work, such as spark plugs and valvetrain walnut blasting. Used special tools, like diagnostic scan tools and boroscopes, to inspect internal engine condition. Assembled engine short blocks and cylinder heads using performance enhancing products. Cosmetic vehicle enhancements are also done at this location. Although aluminum and TIG welding were present, most experience was with MIG welding.

  • Performed heavy mechanical repairs on vehicles and vans. Repairs include transmission and engine swaps, turbo replacements, motor mounts, cylinder head and timing repair, water and oil pump units, standard hydraulic and pneumatic suspension systems, subframe removal, complete interior dismantles, cooling system repair, air conditioning system work, belt drives, chain-driven transfer case rebuilds, transmission solenoid valve body or conductor plate replacements, fuel pump and system repairs, and much more. Repairs were carried out following all manufacturer specifications, often using specialized tools.
  • Often, we worked as a team to stay ahead of new manufacturer information or bulletins. Collaborated with other technicians to resolve more complex matters.
  • Performed electrical repair on the entire vehicle's electrical system network. This includes engine harness, fuse or relay testing, control module replacements or repairs, and repairing corroded or damaged wiring/connectors. Wire soldering, splice connectors, and more were common.
  • Illustrated strong shop equipment and hand tool knowledge while also meeting safety requirements. Practiced cleanliness and organization of the work area for efficiency.
