As the General Manager at one of the highest grossing Dairy Queen’s on the east coast for so many years, I have learned a great deal on the many aspects of motivating and improving each of the diverse array of employees who have worked under my supervision. In an industry where turnover is extremely high, I was able to retain employees at a rate exceptionally higher than average through both team building as well as listening and adapting to employee's needs in a way that is both beneficial for the employee and the company. Furthermore, I was able to foster great relationships with our many vendors and service providers by showcasing my, as well as Thomas Dairy Queen's, high values and positive business practices. Over the years, I have seen and been involved in a vast number of varied situations which has given me a myriad of functional experience that can be used in many different capacities.
Eagle Scout - As an Eagle Scout, I learned a great deal about team building and selflessness through hard work as well as volunteering and giving back to the community. Through my Eagle Scout project, I was also enlightened to the various aspects of planning and executing a large scale project including ways to make adaptations to a plan as obstacles may arise to ensure success.
