Work History

R&D Engineer 1

Chemours
07.2023 - Current
  • Initially assumed the role running barricades for B236 APM.
  • Moved into handling TFE bunker operations.
  • Developed PM program lists for cylinder sheds.
  • Took on DCS responsibilities for various units. Software includes Siemens PCS7 and ABB freelance.
  • Pitched project ideas for network upgrades to improve operational efficiency at B269.
  • Updated PIDs for site projects and facility systems.
  • Currently updating PHA for TFE system.
  • Interests with the company pertain to pilot operations in TSS.

Associate Engineering Specialist - EMU (Maintenance Engineer)

Merck
07.2022 - Current
  • Supported PM execution for SP16 which covers PV manufacturing and barrier filling operations on the off-shift.
  • Responded to production and command center calls at night to address emergency CM work.
  • In a short amount of time, was able to learn LOTO procedures for B65, B38 PNP, B38 Barrier Ops, B38A Poly, and B38A QMPC operations. Successfully completed various jobs in all of these departments through proper PMOT.
  • Able to meet challenges and workload of the off-shift with less than two months of training.
  • Off-shift EMU requires extensive self-motivation because communication is very limited at night. Requires an engineer to take initiative and search through shift notes database and shared documentation in order to find answers to both equipment and process issues that are halting production.

Process Control Engineer

Johnson Matthey
08.2021 - 05.2022
  • Joined a catalyst manufacturing plant for various customers such as Ford, Honda, Toyota, John Deere, Cummins, etc. Started off completely handling a production line that dosed unique gasoline catalytic converter product classes with washcoat.
  • Controlled the speed and overall quality of product lots every hour while on rotating shifts.
  • Shift reports went well and was moved to operate diesel lines and other lines that ran more intricate gasoline parts.
  • Made calls between departments to properly find solutions for mechanical, electrical, coding, and chemical specification faults.
  • Running the lines required superb communication, attitude, and self-motivation skills. Cooperated with labor unions under various demanding conditions.
