Provide supportive therapies to children and adolescents with special needs, including ones with physical or developmental disorders such as cerebral palsy. Tourette's syndrome, autism, and attention deficit hyperactivity. I work with the child one-on-one in the home or at school to model positive behavior-shaping techniques and activities meant to improve social skills, and motor skills and offer emotional support. Duties include;

• Work within mental health teams to develop individualized plans and activities to fit the child's needs.
• Work one-on-one with the child, whether at home or in school, to ensure individualized programs and activities are implemented as the mental health team recommends.
• Monitor, assess, and document the child's activities and behaviors, and generate daily and weekly reports to assess the plan's efficiency, and amend the plan as needed.
• Use behavior-shaping techniques to reduce negative and support positive behaviors.

Supervised downtime and free activities, as well as structured daily learning activities, where I hone my skills in classroom management and ability to redirect disruptive behavior including utilizing incentive and rewards strategies to reinforce positive behaviors. Duties include;

• Assist special needs children with daily classroom activities.
