Serves as a distribution worker performing a wide range of duties required to accomplish the mission of a Distribution Center. Duties include stock selection, location survey, physical inventory, material handling, material examining and identifying, packing, operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and miscellaneous functions that support distribution such as woodworking. May be required to work various shifts. Performs some or all of the following duties: a. Receives, unloads and processes incoming shipments. Checks accompanying documentation against container or packing labels. Follows established procedures in reporting over, short, or damaged items. Opens container and removes dunnage and other packing materials.

Independently unloads shipments from trucks. Identifies materials, visually inspects, compares with accompanying documentation or if necessary, calling up computerized stock numbers to compare with identifying numbers on equipment or measuring items and comparing measurements to specifications. Verifies quantities. Determines proper location for materials and puts into storage. Stages material for transfer directly to customer or into storage. Reviews and processes receipts. Enters receiving and location data into WMS.
