Lyndi Mason

As a Senior Rating Associate, I am responsible for processing endorsements, renewals, and new business quotes while ensuring accuracy with company guidelines and maintaining efficiency and consistency with company set goals and standards. Since being in this role, I have been a source of support for other raters and Underwriters along with helping train newly employed raters.

• Review, underwrite, and process low to moderate hazard commercial lines insurance policies for small market renewal business. My team incorporates both the Processing Specialist position and the Underwriting Associate role into an efficient, self-contained renewal unit.
• Research individual accounts to verify accuracy of classification/product and to analyze changing exposures or discover unknown exposures.
• Coordinate with regional underwriting and quality staff in order to streamline the underwriting process.
• Communicate with agents to verify underwriting and processing information, as well as discussing exposures, coverage, and pricing.

• Trained and assisted new hires
• Consistently involved in multiple territories, including states in the Mid-West, Southeast, and Mid-Atlantic Regions
• Part of a select group handling Human Service accounts in addition to standard commercial
• Assisted in pilot training for the “What’s New,” a multi-departmental training newsletter; and provided feedback and suggestions for enhancements

• Review, analyze, and issue commercial lines insurance policies including, but not limited to new business and renewals.
• Communicate with underwriting staff and independent agents as necessary to ensure correct applications, products, forms, and pricing are maintained
• Ensure policy is accurate and complete before issuing
• Utilized multiple databases daily to support rating and procedural accuracy
• Monitored quality and productivity to align with company standards and personal objectives

• Trained and supported Worcester office staff in advanced quoting techniques for specialized Chicago accounts
• Provided renewal underwriting assistance: prepped “Authority 10” renewals for efficient handling
• Promoted from Processing Specialist I to Processing Specialist II in June 2012
