Interviewed parish leaders and community members for features. The Pittsburgh Catholic was the oldest religious newspaper in the country until it ceased operation in March 2020, due to the pandemic. Earned Catholic Press Association Award for Best Broadsheet Front Page and Best Feature Story.

Wrote weekly column with features and game coverage. Designed daily four-to-eight page sports section, along with seasonal magazines. Mentored junior writers, enhancing storytelling skills and ensuring adherence to publication standards. Earned Associated Press Sports Editors Awards for column writing and feature writing, along with Ohio AP recognition.

Covered 40-area high school sports programs, telling stories of prep athletes for the 60,000-circulation, daily newspaper. Developed community relationships with parents, players and coaches as a vocal resource to the greater coverage area. Answered phones, agate coding, round-up writing, game coverage and feature stories.

Coordinated in-game entertainment for a full season of games. Served as on-field host, possessing excitement and confidence to involve crowds of more than 3,500 fans. Created game scripts, team blog and weekly newsletter. Contributed to event planning, production, social media, community relations and customer service. Represented the organization with face-to-face contact throughout northeast Ohio.
