Began my career at Ball as a Material Handler. I loaded trucks with forklifts.

Also took product from the production line and stored it into proper areas.

Within 3 months of being hired as a Material Handler I moved up into the Production technician role.

This role entailed running, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machines during a 12 hr period.

• Operated and maintained machinery to minimize downtime
• Conducted routine inspections of equipment
• Sorted through the different machines as needed

• Learned all aspects of this warehouse including unloading trailers, receiving product with an electric forklift and other equipment
• Learned all warehouse power equipment such as cherry picks, high reaches, and power jacks
• Pull orders for customers accurately
• Replenished product for order pickers
• After product was received, put it away properly in the warehouse
• Performed inventory count daily
• Cleaned my section daily and reported any potential safety hazards to management

• Unloaded, received, and inspected product from trailers every day
• Took accurate inventory of warehouse weekly
• Made sure product unloaded from trailers was undamaged and route salesman received product in perfect condition
• Pulled product for RSPs while keeping accurate inventory count
• Performed housekeeping duties every day keeping the warehouse safe and clean
• The other half of the job I ran a 26 ft straight truck with product I pulled to customer accounts.
• Was the fill in supervisor for at least 6 weeks a year when my manager was on vacation. Covered additional days when manager called off. Was eventually offered supervisor role when supervisor retired but declined.
• Ran a team of 5 people when my supervisor was off.
