I learned to be patient and to be helpful as their minds moved slower than normal. I realized that we were important to them because they do not get to see family often so we became their family. I learned how to work around their disability’s each and every resident had. I expanded my knowledge with a POS system and better hospitality work.

  • While working here as a cook I learned how to cook food properly in a food safe way. I cooked using a flat top, deep fryer, and an oven. At the Burbon Mill we made a wide variation of food from seafood to steak to snacking food. I gained knowledge about how to properly cook certain fish and steak. I resigned due to a better job offer at a different location

I worked with a wide range of age and mental illness. But I learned to take orders from costumers, putting the orders into a POS, and delivering their food. I moved fast as tables filled fast and were hardly ever empty. I resigned my position due to a switch in ownership
