Professional educator with over two decades of experience at Wyoming Area School District, excelling in classroom management and student engagement. Proven track record as Builders Club advisor, fostering leadership and community involvement among students. Strong relationship builder and positive role model, effectively motivating at-risk students to achieve academic success. Also have had success with parent communication, both in person and remotely.
Taught 6th, 7th and 8th grades in math, reading, English and social studies.
I have spent the last 10 years in the social studies department at the Secondary Center.
I have also spent 5 years as the Builders Club advisor for the middle school, grades 7&8.
I have spent 2 years working as a part of the Twilight after school program, assisting students with special needs and those at risk for academic retention.
As a part of classroom responsibilities, I have also participated in numerous IEP meetings for my students each year.
After working as a long term substitute in the 7th grade, I was hired for a 6th grade position in the Intermediate Center.
There we worked in teams and collaborated across both grade levels. I also gained experience working with at risk students that were a part of our "alternate" team.
After having my twins, I decided to leave the district in order to be closer to home.
