In Sept 2017 I started a journey of being self employed. I have always enjoyed doing woodworking and I wanted to try to support myself doing what I love. Unfortunately, I am not being as successful as I want to be and am currently looking for a remote job to help pay the bills.
I operated a Ryobi 2 color printing press. I printed everything from letterheads to business cards. I also helped with inventory and some basic machine maintenance.
Over the 2 1/2 years I was employed by NPC I was in a few different departments. I started in a Digtial Printing department which involed printing government forms and documents. I also worked in the book binding department which I loaded the machine with paper stock and packed boxes of books to be shipped out. The last 6 months I was employed there I was the lead support person on the book binder.
I programmed CNC machinery to cut and bend steel to form different pieces of building trim.
At this position I unloaded trucks and backstocked merchandise in the warehouse. Through the week I also was put on the sales floor to clean up shelves and do basic inventory.
I performed tasks such as computer repair and troubleshooting which included hardware and software tasks. I also was placed on the sales floor for part of my week.
