Developed protocols and provided expert medical guidance on COVID-19 vaccination for the department, other city agencies, and healthcare providers. Presenter and panelist at 110+ COVID-19 vaccine information sessions, clinical rounds and training sessions.
  • Directed clinical operations at mass COVID-19 vaccines clinics which vaccinated up to 500 people per day. Supervised staff to ensure proper infection control and vaccine administration, addressed clinical issues, and responded to emergencies.
  • Led the PDPH COVID-19 vaccine distribution efforts for people experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. Collaborated closely with the Office of Homeless Services and the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual DisAbility Services. Engaged with nonprofit organizations, FQHCs and other vaccine providers to coordinate COVID-19 vaccine services throughout the city. Worked directly with 100+ shelters, recovery homes, and nonprofits serving the community to ensure their needs surrounding COVID-19 vaccination were met.
  • Developed a specialized mobile team to provide low-barrier vaccination in shelters and other community settings with a trauma informed and harm reduction framework.
  • From 3.21 to 5.22, the team led 120+ clinics and administered 3700+ COVID-19 and routine immunizations including Hepatitis A/B, Influenza and Pneumococcal vaccines to Philadelphians with limited access to healthcare. This immunization initiative was one of three in the U.S. to receive the Association of Immunization Managers (AIM) “Bull’s-Eye Award for Innovation and Excellence in Immunization.”

  • Supervised daily mobile COVID-19 testing clinics for “Stop the Spread,” a statewide initiative which administered 150+ free PCR tests per day in underserved communities with the highest rates of Covid-19 from June to September 2020. Maintained infection control protocols, directed clinic operations, and trained nursing staff in safe usage of PPE and sample collection.
