Summary

My professional life was focused on providing students and adults with literacy skills that would enable them to acquire skills and experiences and allow them to fulfill their goals and dreams, and not be limited by a lack of reading and writing knowledge, skills, and strategies.

I retired from full-time professional teaching, having come close, but always knowing there was more to do to fulfill my goal. My students taught me invaluable lessons as I observed their achievements, struggles, and frustrations, and adapted the content and process of helping them to be successful learners.

As a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner I was able to provide a path forward to literacy for students who had literally given up because of cognitive differences that required a systematic, diagnostic, simultaneously multi sensory approach to mastering the coding system of English.

I am hoping that I will have the opportunity to work with Reading Allowed on a part-time basis to help you achieve that goal for learners.
