Worked in Assembly from 2002-2010. Moved to NLM in 2010 to 2012 to help bring a new line to Allentown from California. Moved back to Assembly in August 2012 to current.

Jobs included but not limited to, hands-on production of packaging, using DAP furnace, MRSI epoxy dispensers, pick and place robots and other tooling. Trained new employees for all Assembly jobs. Directly involved with Process/Product and Mechanical Engineers. Assisted Engineering in all forms of FMA, shop instructions, yield improvements, cycle counts, inventory counting and controls. Directly handled all forms of incoming product from vendors. Set up weekly scheduling for Assembly line working with supervision and Production Management. Enjoyed being to 'go to guy' for Assembly in my 20+ years.

Worked with MTS and DMTS Engineering on the development of the initial 10Gb/s Receiver. Duties included but not limited to Operation and Maintenance of wire bonders, optical test equipment. Built prototypes for 6 different Bell Lab projects. Worked directly with Dr. John French, DMTS, on the development of the 2.5Gb/s and 10 Gb/s, cooled and uncooled Transponder Project. Performed assembling, testing, FMA and shipping of model samples to customer. Managed the transfer of development codes to an outside manufacturing house. Handled customer returns with Marketing Dept. for FMA.

Worked 3rd shift handling daily maintenance of IC Chip Probers, DIP Test Sets. Worked in ASTROTEC packaging production. Maintained numerous wire/wedge/ribbon bonders. Handled programming of Auto Bonders, fiber alignment sets and Temp Cycle ovens. Solved day to day production line problems of 25-30 operator level workers. Performed engineering experiments and monitored control limits daily for all test equipment.
