Working in the Deputyship of Sustainability and Climate Change

• Representing, Coordinating, and developing strategies, plans, legislations, and environmental implementing regulations related to the energy sector.

• Developing and following up on environmental regulations and policies related to the energy sector.

• Follow-up corrective plans for energy sector facilities

• Participation in the preparation of the environmental inspection mechanism for the energy sector

• Participation in a memorandum of understanding regarding the reporting of oil spill accidents in the marine environment

• Participated in the preparation and implementation of the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) for the Deputyship of Sustainability and Climate Change.

• Participation in the Energy and Promising Opportunities Program to transform environmental challenges into promising investment opportunities.

• Representing the Ministry of Energy in the conferences of the Parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions

• Representing the Ministry of Energy in the meeting “Stockholm50 a healthy planet for the prosperity of all” held in the Kingdom of Sweden.

• Participating and Representing the meetings of the Preparatory Group for the 212th Executive Board of UNESCO

• Represented my department in the Ministry’s delegation, leading coordination efforts with the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC) to establish a leading national waste management company.

• Participation in the Saudi Green Initiative & Middle East Green Initiative.

• Participation in the 7th international Marine Debris conference (7IMDC)

• Coordination with the Deputyship departments to list the achievements and goals of achieving the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030.

• Communicating with international organizations to provide Services to the Deputyship and make an assessment to measure the extent of the Deputyship needs.

• Leading the energy management program in the department and the renewable energy initiative and projects • Act as the department technical representative and coordinate all technical events and engagements.

• Lead the energy assessment and auditing in the department

• Defined and documented technical support best practices for energy technologies.

• Representing and participating as the Kingdom's delegate in the negotiations rounds on climate change issues under the UNFCCC.

The committee is a joint effort between the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. Responsibilities include following up and collaborating on tasks such as policies and regulations, memorandums of understanding, and joint energy and environment programs.
