Team lead for food systems, climate and resilience. Support to Country Offices in the design and implementation of projects and programs in the technical area, as well as developing and coordinating strategies and projects at regional level. WFP representation in multiple fora, including regional organizations, donors, IFIs and other UN agencies.

  • Established and coordinated the LAC Regional Task Force on Food systems, comprising nine UN organizations.
  • Developed WFP’s Resilience and Climate Strategy for LAC.
  • Coordinated WFP’s regional portfolio in the Amazon, including publications and tools for food systems planning and evidence generation.
  • Co-developed, with FAO and SICA, the Regional Strategy on Strategic Grain Reserves in Central America.

Liaison with ministries, state governments, unions and foreign partners such as GTZ and IDB.

  • Co-led key changes in the biodiesel regulation through participation in government-led committees.
  • Overall cost reduction of 40% in operations, with adjustments in internal structures and process.
  • Increased revenues for the smallholder farmers supplier averaged 25% during the period.
