This is a professional Administrative position directing operation of Merakey Allegheny Valley School, Pittsburgh Campus. The Merakey Pittsburgh Campus encompasses a 57 acre property which is home to 113 residents with 20 separate residential living areas and full spectrum of services including but not limited to: Day Program, Social Services, Therapeutic Services, Clinical Services, Medical/Respiratory Services, and Transportation fleet. Responsibilities include development and administration of policies and procedures for care and treatment of 113 residents residing at Pittsburgh Campus.
PRN Residential Services Director reports directly to the Administrator to complete various duties, projects and assignments. Working immersively in various departments to assist with tasks.
Residential Services Director provides immediate oversight of the Residential Services Department, consisting of 20-30 supervisors, 11 residential units and 184 residents. This position ensures policies and procedures are implemented daily and the living environments are safe adhering to life safety regulations.
House Manager responsibilities include oversight of day-to-day operation within a residential unit setting. Ensuring resident care is optimal as well as documentation of plans and implementation of policies. The House Manager is responsible to curate relevant goal plans based on assessments and consumer needs and supervision of the implementation of such plans. The House Manager is responsible for scheduling employees and developing a positive work atmosphere by leading by example.
The Assistant House Manager is responsible for being a lead staff amongst peers. Time management is a key factor with this role as it is one that undertakes direct care duties as well as managerial tasks. The Assistant House Manager develops goal plans based on assessments provided by the manager, then ensures the goal plans are implemented and documented accordingly. This role exercises on-the-spot correction opportunities and communicates directly with the House Manager and Shift Supervisor.
Direct Care Workers are required to assist individuals with ADLs ensuring to follow policies and procedures and personal IPPs for each individual in their charge. This role requires compassion and integrity as the front line of caregivers for the population we serve.
