Work History

I first began as Flight Crew.

  • Cleaned rides and attractions to reduce spread of germs and bacteria.
  • Monitored guests and enforced rules, maintaining safety for visitors and staff.
  • Engaged safety devices and monitored attraction during operation to reduce safety risks.
  • Operated rides and attractions according to written guidelines to reduce injuries.
  • Followed posted height and age restrictions and denied access to attraction for guests under minimum requirements.

After about 3 months of doing flight crew I eventually wanted to try Front desk. After my first day selling 16 memberships, I got a position to remain at the front desk to be a permanent sales associate. During my time as a sales associate I participated in simple tasks such as

  • Issued tickets to customers and collected payment and fees for desired services.
  • Maximized customer service and satisfaction by providing directions to visitors regarding requested locations, events and landmarks.
  • Promoted safety of visitors and mitigated liability risks by monitoring recreation areas, enforcing rules and safety policies.
  • Operated cash register for cash, check, and credit card transactions with excellent accuracy levels.
  • Welcomed guests and helped determine their needs.
  • Helped customers complete purchases, locate items, and join reward programs.
  • Used POS system to enter orders, process payments and issue receipts.

One day, I was approached my one of my shift leads and he told me that he sees potential in me and wants me to start thinking about a future with the company. After 6 months of working as a sales associate and working under my shift leads wing, I got a Shift Lead position. As a Shift Lead it consisted of:

  • Worked flexible schedule and extra shifts to meet business needs.
  • Built relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Greeted customers entering store and responded promptly to customer needs.
  • Restocked and organized merchandise in front lanes.
  • Counted money in cash drawers at beginning and end of shifts to maintain accuracy.
  • Assisted customers with returns, refunds and resolving transaction issues.
  • Answered questions about store policies and addressed customer concerns.
  • Addressed customer needs and made product recommendations to increase sales.
  • Learned duties for various positions and provided backup at key times.
  • Maintained current knowledge of store promotions and highlighted sales to customers.
  • Managed and motivated employees to be productive and engaged in work.
  • Maintained professional, organized, and safe environment for employees and patrons.
  • Resolved staff member conflicts, actively listening to concerns and finding appropriate middle ground.
  • Maximized performance by monitoring daily activities and mentoring team members.

As a shift lead as well I get the opportunity to travel to struggling parks to address issues such as income, employment, and sales. I have been to Vestal NY and Chattanooga TN. I also have gotten the opportunity to participate in an NPO (New Park Opening) in Roanoke VA. During my time in Roanoke I was able to be a facilitator and train up all the new upcoming employees. I remain as a Shift Lead at DEFY Scranton as I continue my growth to become a better and more hard worker than I was yesterday.
