Roula Kyros

Performs various nursing interventions including, but not limited to, wound care/ dressing changes, vital sign monitoring, nebulize breathing treatments, immunizations, blood and urine specimen collection, STD screening, H-Pylori testing, rapid testing for Strep A, Mono and HIV.

• Administers allergy injections, medications via oral, IV, and intramuscular injections and monitors responses.
• Reduces medication errors through meticulous administration and documentation of medications.
• Documents treatments delivered, discharge instructions, teaching and follow-up care
• Participates in phone triage and patient scheduling. Also, clinic committees to recommend quality improvement initiatives,
• Collaborate with services ie. University Counseling Center to provide patient with individualized plan of care.
• Followed all personal and health data procedures to effectively comply with HIPAA laws and prevent information breaches.

• Equipped patients and their support system with tools and knowledge needed to prepare for surgery.
• Received patients from PACU and prepared them for discharge efficiently by delivering tailored instructions regarding home care measures, medication administration, and follow-up appointments.
• Promoted a positive work environment by consistently offering support and encouragement to colleagues during challenging circumstances.
