Mental Health Delegate provides authorization in the final step of the Pennsylvania Mental Health Act to involuntarily admit an individual for preliminary evaluation to assess that person's physical and mental needs. The process has evolved. Initially, the delegates and the petitioner worked independently and interviewed both the client and the petitioner to ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act of 1976 before a 302 petition is completed. A crisis team is now plays a role in the process until the final authorization by the delegate.

• Established strong rapport with fellow delegates, promoting a positive working environment.

• Leveraged radio, telephone and computerized and electronic equipment to dispatch law enforcement, fire or medical assistance units to scene of emergency.
• Assisted first responders in locating incident scenes through accurate and timely relay of information.
• Improved overall response efficiency by continually updating knowledge on local geography and street names.
• Contributed to an organized and efficient work environment by maintaining accurate shift logs and promptly addressing any discrepancies.
• Fielded stressful calls while entering information into computer aided dispatch system for police, fire and emergency medical services personnel dispatch.

• Worked with fellow Peace Corp volunteers to provide basic sanitation in Bolivian communities.
• Used strong interpersonal communication skills to convey information to community residents
