Summary

I am a highly motivated individual that is ready to work as hard as I can. I have a background in computers and dealing with customers from the two jobs I worked at from my college campus and the two jobs after college. I may be a bit soft spoken and withdrawn when I am first starting out, but once I have adjusted and gotten the hang of a place I really get fired up. I try to be a punctual worker who always shows up for work. I may not have too much experience in the working world because of health problems, but that isn't going to stop me from giving my job 150%. I try to be a kind and approachable person and that helps with dealing with customers. Feel free to ask if you would like an example of my computer work. I have great experience with remote work and customer support from my last job and always do what I can to strive for first call or chat resolution.

Work History

Student Advocate

Penn Foster Group
09.2020 - 05.2025
  • As a student Advocate, my job was to take calls from students, their parents, and sometimes other schools as well. I would help in cases of billing, helping to contact intrustors, transcripts, and general account help depending on the student’s situation. Among phone calls, I would also respond to student tickets, emails, and more recently chats. For our chat system, we tend to have a max of two students at once when we are chatting, so that did teach me how to multitask when it comes to students. If there wasn't an answer I could provide, I would make sure to do everything I could to help them reach out to the person who could help solve their issue. I was taught to take the time to look over every case and strive for the first call resolution. My time there came to an end when the department I worked at was broken up to be moved to a new team in Arizona.

Cashier

Market 32
07.2019 - 08.2020
  • I worked as a cashier at both the front end and the alcohol department. For the front end, my job was to help customers who were checking out. In the alcohol department, I had that responsibility as well as making sure to restock items when shipments came in. It was also important to card people who came in to purchase alcohol, which led to dealing with some more escalated situations once COVID happened. Covid was a tricky experience, but I did learn to handle myself in more hectic situations.

Cashier

Sodexo At Keystone College
11.2017 - 05.2019
  • I generally worked as a Cashier. My main responsibilities were to swipe students in who were on meal plan, handle money transactions for customers not using meal plan, whip down counters and tables during slow periods of traffic, make sure that drinks (ex. soda, juice, and coffee) were always available and refill them if they were low, make sure that the condiments, napkins, fruit, and cereal dispensers were always full, and clean up for closing. I helped the company by keeping my area organized and making sure the stations under my watch were always ready to go for the meals I worked.

IT Work Study

Keystone College
02.2016 - 05.2019
  • This was my first job. I worked at the IT help desk. A few of the responsibilities that I had was assisting the other members of the IT department, helping other students with technical issues, handing out and setting up IPADs at the beginning of the semester, updating the electronic locks around campus, and occasionally taking phone calls to the help desk. I helped the company by generally being support and by helping with large group situations when the time required it.
