- Serve as corporate subject matter expert: payroll taxes, W-2s, year-end processing
- Ensure payroll regulatory compliance for 2,500+ employees in over 350 jurisdictions
- Lead cross-functional operations with stakeholders: Corporate Tax, HR, IT, Finance, Global Mobility
- Perform payroll audits; balance payroll and W-2s for executive leadership team
- Create and edit reports and queries in Workday: audits, special projects, BAU
- Formulate requests for configuration updates; conduct end-to-end testing Reconcile payroll tax and benefit general ledger accounts, collaborate with accounting team
- Ensure accuracy of system and employee data; handle PII and employee records with discretion
- Post monthly general ledger entries: reclass adjustments, payroll taxes, benefits, cash deposits
- Review and resolve non-compliance error reports and reconcile discrepancies
- Process special payroll: restricted stock units (RSUs), union payroll, garnishments, deferred compensation
- Calculate gross-ups and complete adjustments for relocation and expatriate payroll
- Payroll project point of contact: system implementations, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures
- Identify and implement automation initiatives and process improvements
- File state and local withholding and unemployment tax returns for 9 FEINs
- Prepare returns for tax types unsupported by Payroll, including Forms 1099
- Open new accounts: FEIN, withholding, unemployment, business registration
- Analyze supplemental unemployment benefit payroll; distribute funds accordingly
